A very perceptive question. Matt, aka Zach Roerig born 22nd of Feb 1985, would have been 27 almost 28. I'm not entirely sure when it was shot but it aired 15th of November 2012. Also while looking that up I found some interesting info on him. In 2011 and then filed for full custody in 2013 when his ex-girlfriend was incarcerated. Katherine is by far better than Elena because of her attitude and the way she holds herself. Elena is just far too apologetic and just whingy a lot of the time. I love Nina in real life. You finally get to hear about Silas and Qetsiyah!!!!!!!!!! big plot points! If you can go back and really pay attention to what Shane says about the story of Silas and Qetsiyah. Trust this will help you down the road. I remember being so confused because I didn't bother to pay enough attention to his story cause I thought he was just telling a story. "Is this Silas person going to show up?" Good question Travis! Good question. "Little gilbert your services are needed" I just love how Jeremy is just carted around like luggage in this episode. And referred to lovingly as little gilbert. "But you are my little monster" That was adorable. When Klaus says "Little Wolf" it makes me shiver. So back when Elena and Stephan were pretending to fight for Katherine they had that code "I can't do this anymore" and it meant I love you and Elena would say "whatever Stephan" and it meant I love you too. But instead of that, she said "I know" and that part just broke my heart. Even though I am a huge Delena fan, the Stelena is still cute in its own right.

Also, it’s amazing how Nina Dobrev managed to play Katherine and Elena so distinctively different from one another. Seriously it’s like watching two different people.

When Damon says to spread his ashes on Wickery Bridge, knowing there are so many spots in the town he grew up in that probably hold significance for him, but he chose to be laid to rest where Elena died. 🥹
