God watching your reaction to youngblood makes me realize just how different the songs on that album specifically are live. They sound INSANE live like if walls could talk, more, why won't you love me, babylon and so many more go SO HARD I hope you end up listening to their live album once you're done with the studio ones, you're going to love it! They add so much with the vocals, note changes, heavy instrumentals and solos, the energy it's just- sorry i'm geeking about this 5sos live is just incredible lol I love when people get to experience that. But yes their fanbase LOVES this album but it has never been a favorite to me. Someone already mentioned that but their first two albums are very different and my all time favorite album of theirs is sounds good feels good (2nd album), mostly because of sentimental reasons I guess but it's such a comfort album. ALSO JUST REALIZED YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE EASIER TO MORE TRANSITION LIVE

Morgan

happy 11 years of 5sos! I'm loving your 5sos journey

Great reaction, Travis! I had a feeling you wouldn't love Meet You There. Tbh it's my least favorite on the album as well. But I was surprised you loved Woke Up In Japan and Monster Among Men so much since they are less popular tracks in general (though like you mentioned, music preferences are subjective), and I thought you might not like Ghost of You since it's a slower song, but I was pleasantly surprised that you loved it. It's definitely a fan favorite and a staple on tour. The album before Youngblood is called Sounds Good Feels Good, which is their 2nd album. It is definitely pure pop punk, so you will definitely have to get into that mindset, and keep in mind that they were teenagers so it is a completely different sound and feel (no pun intended).😋 Their sound, lyrics and aesthetic have definitely evolved and matured over the years in my opinion. There is also one song that they released with The Chainsmokers that is not on any of their albums but worth checking out from around this era called Who Do You Love. This is their Official Live Performance of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vxiqdJwbKw During this era I would recommend checking out their Cocktail Chats which is a lot of fun. They basically get drunk and discuss the tracks on the Youngblood album. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-B0qVahzkXU&list=PLR9AEg2TU68RFs1tgf441kuq95vWAM3cV Can't wait to continue with you on your 5SOS journey!

The day they released this they did a 45min concert on Apple Music called 5 Seconds of Summer Live On The Record Meet You There Tour which is definitely worth watching!! I’m actually seeing them for the first time TONIGHT in Australia & can’t wait!!!

Megan

I was just coming on here to post the link to Cocktail Chats! It's my favorite! 😍

Michael is the one that sings the intro in Monster Among Men. He also sings a lot of the little parts that you enjoyed in the songs. They actually used Babylon as their opening song for the Meet You There tour.

Travis Manning

I like Michaels vibe ! Sometimes I wish they would just put all the songs on an album instead of all the deluxe and special edition stuff lol

Megan

Also, Want You Back has a version in Simlish for Sims 4. They were super busy, so they sent Luke in to record it by himself. It took him 8 hours to learn how to sing it in Simlish. 🤣🤣

Kylie aka BallisticGal

This still makes me laugh thinking about him in a studio singing their precious song in a weird ass language for a game! He really took one for the team 😂😂

Hey Travis! Glad to see your 5SOS journey continue!! I saw them live on Friday in Brisbane & they just keep getting more amazing...sooooo much fun!! You really need to react to some live concerts/songs - they will impress you even more! Music is definitely subjective...my Top 5 from Youngblood are: Ghost of You (so glad you loved it!), More, Youngblood, Why Won't You Love Me & probably Lie To Me. My 2 skips (always) are Empty Wallets & Meet You There. This would be my 3rd fave out of their 5 albums...CALM is a no skip for me followed by 5SOS5 - but each album has some absolute classics & magical moments! I'm really excited for you to see some live performances ( the Luke/Michael guitar transition from Easier to More - wow! Ghost of You & Easy For You To Say - so special! Youngblood - best crowd involvement! I could keep going 😂) plus watching their Carpool Karabloke (for CALM), their Cocktail Chats (for Youngblood), their 10 year anniversary show...& now it's been 11 years! They have great love & banter with each other so watching Tour Diaries & interviews & 'Makings Of' are also entertaining! Enjoy!! 😊❤️

Three recommndations I know you'll enjoy once you finish all the albums (and don't forget the B-Sides and Rarities): 1. their 10 year anniversary show from last year as they just celebraed their 11th 2. the live album from one of their Younblood world tours, it's called Meet You There Tour and it's on Spotify as the live versions hit so much harder 3. Rank all the songs yourself and then watch them rank their own songs on a Twitch live stream. They basically lost all their fans within an hour. Who knew such amazing artists have such shitty taste in music Loved the reaction as always :)

Wait, I think you got a bit confused there at the end because if you want to react to all the Albums, you got 2 left: Sounds Good Feels Good and their Debut "Self Titled". I must say I am a new fan (about the beginning of this year I really started listening to them) but for me while you can definitely hear they have grown a lot since Sounds Good Feels Good, there are some real Stand-Outs on there that are in my opinion unmissable and in some points probably some of their best work musically (arrangement). "Self Titled" on the other hand you can really tell that they are very new to the scene, young and inexperienced (in my opinion) and I barely listen to it BUT even for the few stand outs alone DON'T SKIP Sounds Good Feels Good (btw. the rest of Sounds Good Feels Good is also very good, just not as sophisticated as their later work, except the DRUMS which due to the genre absolutely slap and are probably the best of all their Albums)

I do have to say there were a few songs that just weren’t up there like all their other songs. That’s okay though maybe it’s just me! Doesn’t matter though I love them!
