can't wait for the finale next time! also nobody died technically, but the pregnant lady is gonna let herself die to have the baby so that was probably the only bad outcome this episode

Emma Mellin

this was such a beautiful episode. the title "save me" and the parallels of the all the stories of the patients worried they'd lose a part of themselves. devo couldn't have the pig transplant because it'd be going against her convictions and she'd lose a part of herself if she did so. the psychic being worried he'd lose his visions that made him himself and therefore his identity. the woman who was worried she'd lose herself over to her disease without any control over her situation and therefore making the decision she did (to grow "fat and happy" and leave behind a part of herself for her husband to continue to love). then going a step further you have the storyline of izzie feeling betrayed and hurt by her mom but still seeking out aspects of her mom (her cupcakes) and kind of coming to terms with things and reaching out, not losing the part of her that is connected with and loves her mother. then there's christina who is struggling a lot with her decision. a decision which, at the start, she thought would be so easy to make. but as the episode goes on she finds it's more nuanced than that - that was her snipping at burke. telling him his problem had a solution and frustrated with him for complaining where there's so many problems (like with the pregant woman, and even maybe herself) where there is no solution, or the solution there is isn't always favorable. i LOVE how this show ties so many things together. you get SO MANY seperate storylines and problems but it's really good about connecting things through themes

There are many different types of seizures and the type Mr. Duff was experiencing looked like absent seizures.
