I remember reading the books in 6th grade… obviously the books explain things in a bit more detail, but this is still my favorite of the 4 movies. Looking back you can hear or see a couple of hints at the twist earlier near the middle of the movie.

Yeah. The books (especially this one) give you a lot more detail. Definitely in the game. I feel like you understand what is going on a lot quicker.

I remember reading this book so fast! I couldn’t put it down. It’s my favorite out of all of the books and this is hands down the best movie of the franchise in my humble opinion.

This is my favorite movie of the series. It’s so crazy and once you realize everything that is going on your mind is blown. I’m not really a huge fan of the last 2 movies. I think they aren’t as interesting as the first two, but they are still good and worth the watch

You mentioned you don't understand what role Effie plays in all this: She was assigned to District 12 by the capitol to do reapings, and because people don't win in 12, other Capital citizens consider her a joke, and she's embarrassed by iy. She skyrocketed into popularity after getting both of them out. She loves Katniss and Peeta for making her popular, but this movie makes her realize she cares for them like a mother..
