And so it begins...I truly love this show, grew up watching it, it i amazing. However, Clark is hella hypocritical. He seems to feel entitled to know everyone else's personal secrets while also feeling entitled to the right to keep his own personal secrets private, it is so infuriating!

Smallville came out on 2001 was the first fandom which was m/m reading and writing Clark/Lex. Not a fan of Lana. I met Michael start of season 10. Then i met Tom, Micharl, Erica, and Laura in 2019. One of my photo ops has the photographer in because Tom wanted to take a photo.

Oh wow a reaction to Smallville. Smallville was one of my favorite shows on the WB/the CW (Smallville and One Tree Hill were my favorites from the channel). I have always thought that Smallville was one of the best shows related to the Superman universe. Smallville does a great job of telling the story of Clark Kent before he became Superman.

YAY!! I screamed when I saw this. One of my favorite shows ever!! Its early 2000's tv for sure, but at its best. (think buffy ish) I REALLY hope you do the whole series. SO GOOD!!

So, Tom Welling (Clark Kent) was actually a 24-year-old playing a 14-year-old at the start of the show. In fact, a lot of the actors are quite a bit older than the characters that they play, although Tom is an extreme case. Look out for cameos from actors you might recognize in future episodes. That song at the end is from a group called Lifehouse, a CCM group that reached some mainstream success during those days, partly because of this show. I hope you carry on with this show after the 2 episodes I requested, and thanks for doing my request!

Fun fact Jensen Ackles went up for the part of Clark Kent and obviously didn't get it but now he is great friend's with Welling and even is putting him on the prequel show of supernatural. But if he had gotten it he wouldn't have been up for the role of Supernatural so maybe things work out for the best.

I watch a lot of tv shows and smallville is in my top 3 favorites of all time (along with supernatural). It definitely feels very 2000s but is also just a very good shows especially season 4 onwards (but seasons 1-3 definitely have a lot of important episodes to the series. You can just feel the age of the show a little more on those seasons)

I think this was a great pilot. So sad that Lex Luthor started out as such a good kid and then became…well Lex Luthor. Think you’ll like this if u decide to stick with it. So much canon that threads thru this mythology and other shows. Do you remember in SPN “Hollywood Babylon” the trolly driver mentioning Smallville?

I only saw the first 5 seasons of this show. I stopped because I had a lot of shitty things going on in my life at that time and I think I just needed a break from the show, among other things. But I recall really enjoying the early seasons! I'd be interested to see you react to more episodes, if you get inspired to after your initial 2. Thanks for the reaction!
