This is one of my favorite episodes from the entire series of Glee. This episode starts the storyline of Santana and Brittany's relationship finally being addressed as well as the storyline arc of Santana struggling to come to terms with her sexuality. Prior to this episode we saw moments where it is briefly acknowledged that Santana and Brittany are "friends with benefits" while we've also seen a few flirtatious moments between them (some were more obvious some happened in the background of scenes) but their relationship wasn't truly being addressed before this episode. One of my favorite things about this episode is that we finally see Santana show some genuine emotion and this is when we start seeing some real character development happening with Santana. Up until now Santana has essentially been a character that is meant to be comedic relief who says "rude" and "witty" comments. Naya Rivera really shines as Santana in this episode.

I know that talk between Burt and Kurt was cringey, but the courage Burt showed in that scene is incredible! He didn't let his fear of an awkward conversation get in the way of doing what's right for his son, and that's amazing. Re-watching this show has given me even greater appreciation for Burt (and he was already one of my favorite characters the first time around)

So I'm guessing you know about the Mark Salling stuff Travis? (If you don't know what I'm talking about, disregard this comment)

Even tho most kids these days aren't that naive about sex the way Kurt is it was nice to see his dad trying to bond with him. I love burt

Landslide is in my top 5 out of all 746 songs they did. Naya, Heather, and Gwenneth completely outdid themselves and the harmonies were outstanding! Naya deserved an Emmy for her performance during this episode. And for Heather to have never acted or sang before Glee, she was phenomenal. Santana and Brittany have been making out and sleeping together since probably before their sophomore year and this wasn’t the first time that Brittany wanted more. Except this time, Britt’s also dating Artie, which of course is actually Santana’s fault because she rejected Britt when she wanted to sing a duet with her. And Brittany actually likes Artie now but she likes Santana more and she’s sure a good person that she doesn’t want to hurt Artie. So it’s completely understandable that she is so confused and conflicted now that Santana has finally expressed her feelings for her.

Yeah, um, Glee was too good at predicting the future. Like so much it hurts.

Burt and Kurt...how did i never notice that before? LOL

This episode makes me miss Naya so much. She was so talented and this is where we begin to the depths of it. She can sell a performance like no other, but now she adds so much depth to a character that was only meant to be a background player. Never has anyone made me go from drooling (her and Brittany during Do You Wanna Touch Me were so hot) to laughing to crying and being sympathetic and rooting for them in a single episode. She took us for a ride in this one. Also, the harmonies in Landslide were top notch and they filmed this number while Stevie Nicks was on set and she absolutely loved it. I wish more parents would be like Burt and at least try to relate to their kids the way that he does. Still holding that best TV parent ever title in my book. And if Will is this cringey for you now...just wait...that's all I'll say about that for now.

Burt and Kurt are the best part of this series. I fucking love watching their relationship.
