This is one of my favorite movies of all time! It has everything anyone could love, it's exactly what the Grandpa describes. It's probably one of the most quotable movies. It's so funny and all the characters are so good, along with their performances. I have never read the book and have no idea if the stuff with the Grandpa and Grandson is in it but I love that aspect of the film as well, the relationship is so sweet at the end. I have always felt like we are literally inside his head and this is what he's envisioning and the Grandpa is using all those silly voices or he's just thinking of them in that way but it makes all the campyness in the movie work. Some things, yes Andre the Giant was really that big, in fact Robin Wright has talked about how during filming it would get really cold and all he had to do was put his hand on the top of her head, which his whole hand could fit around and it would completely warm her whole body up. And some others have pointed out but right before filming Mandy Patinkin had recently lost his father to cancer, so when he gives the famous line to Rugan he was speaking to cancer and letting his anger out in that moment, honestly it's one of my favorite scenes. And I don't think you recognized him but Miracle Max was played by Bill Crystal, his scene is short but man he steals the show in that moment, the MLT line is one of my favorites, lol.

This is such a good movie and I am so glad you reacted to it. And did you know the actor who played Inigo Montoya lost his father to cancer a few days before filming the fight scene between him and the count and when he said "I want my father back" he imagined he was saying it to the cancer.

Ah, I love this movie! So many great quotes. "As you wish." "Inconceivable!" "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die!" "You think it'll work? It would take a miracle!" and many others (I'm sure some aren't exact quotes, but you get the idea). I'm glad you got to see this, finally, Travis!

LOL. Grandpas not drunk. That's just the way Columbo talks.

Andre The Giant was a actual wrestler and he actually carried 3 people. I love Robin Wright she was married to Sean Penn. I also love Cary Elwes . It's a great movie .

Mandy Patinkin is indigo Montoya. He also was in criminal minds and homeland among many other things.

The R.O.U.S.s used to scare me as a kid, I couldn’t watch the screen anytime they were shown.
