I LOVE this episode, the Robert Johnson legend serving some realness too. My friend and I used to have scary movie nights and he mixed popcorn seasoning we always called goofer dust. It sounds weird but it is a real hoodoo thing.

You DON’T want to see the hell hound. Only those going to hell can see it. Those weird creepy faces- I couldn’t figure that out first time I watched this. People begin to hallucinate the closer they are to the dogs coming. All demon deals are “sealed” with a kiss…and that’s just weird too. See ya on the nxt one. Good eps.

I think it’s along the same lines as a ceremonial wedding kiss. Dating back to Ancient Rome, during a time of illiteracy, all contracts were sealed with a kiss which acted as the “signature”, which to them was a legal bond. Also they considered a kiss as an exchange of souls.

This is a very important episode in the mythology of the series.<p></p> <p>The Rober Johnson legend is real. He never knew how to play guitar, and all of a sudden became the grandfather of the blues. One of the greatest bluesman ever.</p> <p>Crossroad demons have red eyes, The demon who killed Mary &amp; Jessica has yellow eyes. Normal demons have black eyes. I don't remember if we ever see a hellhound. Only the condemned can see &amp; hear them. They have hallucinations, too, like those freaky twisted faces. Also, kissing is the only way to seal the deal. If there's no kiss involved, then the deal isn't valid. This is important to remember when you come upon a certain S7 episode. </p> <p>Do you really think Dean would make a deal with a Crossroads demons?</p>
