I used to watch Glee when I was sick (I had the first three seasons on DVD). I’d fall asleep mid episode and wake up at every music number lol

I use to work with preschool aged kids, had them wipe their snotty nose on my clothes been sneezed on, peed on, and thrown up on. I would think by High School they would know better and know how to cover their mouth then again I see people 30 plus walking around hacking all over the stores

This episode is utterly hilarious and chock full of amazing one-liners. I adore Holly Holiday! She is my favorite Glee adult and if she had been my teacher, I would have definitely been able to pay attention. You really should check out the live performance of “Forget You”! They were all outstanding and Naya’s adlibs take it over the top. https://youtu.be/bvFRQIiVGQ8 It’s also hilarious to watch people’s reaction to “Make ‘Em Laugh” and their confusion. I’ve seen Singing in the Rain dozens of times so I knew exactly what was happening. 🤣 The constant jokes about Matt Morrison’s hair crack me up because he actually uses Lubriderm lotion in his hair. Also, Lea should have kept the mask on correctly and maybe she wouldn’t have gotten Covid just after her Funny Girl debut. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes! That Singing in the Rain/Umbrella mashup is one of my favorite performances on the show! I remember thinking the same thing you did when this episode first aired on tv: there's no way a high school like that could afford to put on a production like that, especially for practice!

The New Directions budget is hilarious. They never have any money yet they can put on these extravagant numbers for no one. I wish my budget allowed for that!

Singing in the Rain/Umbrella was covered by Tom Holland on Lip Sync Battle and it was amazing

It took them almost 8 hours to record Make 'em Laugh. Harry Shum Jr (Mike) and Matthew Morrison (Will) loved paying homage to the original number and asked the choregrapher to allow them to do all the hardest stunts, including those flips. I wonder what it would have been like to have been, Artie, Brittany, Santana, Finn, and Sam as the extras in that number. Also, Harry is really gifted in physical comedy. They did say that filming Singing in the Rain/Umbrella was crazy. Being in wet clothes all day, they said it was uncomfortable and cold and that it smelled really bad. The sets they build for practice numbers are nuts on this show and they definitely have no room to judge the Cheerios budget when they've got stuff like this going on. Lastly, the littles they hired for that one scene were so spot on perfect for each character. And Naya's adlibs on Forget You bring that version to a new level
