Sweet Kicks- Thank you so much for your reaction for more Lucifer, Travis!! I am so happy you're continuing to love this show so, so much! You're absolutely right about Lucifer being a bit of a jerk towards Maze, and it's definitely wrong of him to treat her this way. But Maze has to be careful too. Because while Lucifer is wrong to treat her so harshly, Maze has been his protector for eons. It's how things have always been between them. And Lucifer just doesn't know how to adjust to the possibility of things changing between them. And should she do something wrong that will upset him... Yikes! I really enjoy this episode! I especially love that Lucifer is now an official civilian consultant with the LAPD, officially making the Devil Chloe's new partner. Phenomenal! :) I love how the main storyline throughout this episode allows for Lucifer to come to see the potential consequences of his favors he offers to the humans. It's very interesting. And Lucifer realizes how the people like Chloe whom he's come to care about upon being fascinated by the changes they bring upon himself, are being affected by his actions in a way that he never really understood before. I really love his continued development as he slowly comes to understand our world, as well as human emotions. Also... I love how Lucifer defends Chloe the bar when the other detective calls her Palmetto Bitch, which is absolutely wrong. Lucifer plays off his actions as though he isn't trying to defend Chloe's honor because she tells him flat out that she doesn't need to be defended. However, I really appreciate that he does so nonetheless. It's very chivalrous of him to do. Whether he realizes he punches the cop to be chivalrous or not. In regards to the case and their killer being Benny Choi and his partner... I really love the twist that it turns out to be Benny and his partner who both set everything up all along. I certainly didn't expect it to be him and his friend, so it's a great twist. The case itself is just okay, but as a whole, it's quite entertaining. As for Maze... Like I said above, she definitely cares about Lucifer in her own way, and she's his protector. Protecting Lucifer is her duty, especially now that she and Lucifer are living on Earth. However, she was never his protector from the humans before since he's immortal and can't be hurt by them, or at least until now as he appears to be changing in a way that is still a mystery to them both. Maze has joined Lucifer on Earth to protect him from unknown forces and potential dangers from Heaven and Hell. Angels have their own rules as to what they and cannot do, but it doesn't necessarily mean Lucifer isn't in danger because of them. Amenadiel wants to send his brother back to Hell, and Maze knows he'll do whatever he has to do. And he's not the only angel either. But with all this being said... I do believe that Maze is definitely jealous that Lucifer is so infatuated with Chloe, and more so... she feels threatened by Chloe. Her relationship such as it is, is now threatened because of Chloe. Which is why she appears in the end in front of Chloe in her house while she's sleeping, as she considers killing Chloe in order to end his infatuation. Thinking that by doing so, she would be protecting Lucifer from Chloe's influences. However, I believe she chooses not to hurt Chloe, because she knows very well that Lucifer would absolutely destroy her, or something worse if she were to ever try. Lucifer has already come to care about Chloe very much, which is very clear. And he would destroy anyone who hurts her. So Maze knows she has to be very careful with how she handles things. Amenadiel is very interesting, because we don't know at this point exactly what his plans are in order to get Lucifer to return to Hell, other than him coming to talk with Linda in order to try to learn more about Lucifer through her. And he appears to be going down a dangerous path more and more with every episode, which is intriguing. Also like I mentioned above... angels have their rules that they must abide by, but exactly how far is Amenadiel willing to go? Yikes! He's certainly not the typical angel you would see in shows such as Touched By an Angel, that's for sure. And as for Dan... he's definitely not a bad guy. He's a decent guy, who still cares about Chloe as a friend and as the mother of his daughter. Lucifer simply calls him Detective Douche because he doesn't like him, and he sees him as a bore. Plus... Lucifer's first impression of Dan was when Dan was warning Chloe to back off on a case in the Pilot episode. And Lucifer and Dan just don't get along the more they come to interact with one another. But Dan cares about Chloe, and cares deeply for his daughter. And he's a good detective. For the most part... I like him more and more with every episode. Not always, but he's a character that grows on you. And lastly... I absolutely love how Chloe always manages to tease Lucifer with false seduction, only to pull back and smile just when he thinks he's won her over. Once again, Chloe has teased Lucifer. It's great!! It's fantastic that she's the only one who has the ability to tease and trick the Devil. I absolutely love their dynamic! :) Overall... I enjoy this episode a lot. It's just a lot of fun. The case is really enjoyable overall, and Lucifer is hilarious throughout it. This show is definitely a show people love because of all the characters, especially Lucifer himself. Each character has really amazing chemistry with one another. I can't wait for your reactions for the next episode!!! Until then... Thank you so much, Travis!!! Sincerely, Heidi

So, Krav Maga is a form of self-defense/martial arts used by Israeli military. Anyways, I just finished binging the whole series and what a ride! You'll love this show even more Travis! Watching these earlier episodes with you has me feeling nostalgic, although, maybe not fully nostalgic (maybe pre-nostalgic). I'll be interested what you think about the journeys all these characters go through

Yeah, I won't have time soon with the fall semester approaching. Plus, I like to binge one show at a time. I also increase the playback speed so that I can watch more in less time (except for musical numbers). I can be quite impatient when I find a new show I like, lol

Yes it has superb writing, exceptional performance, lots of humor, and an excellent tapestry of interwoven story lines. I cannot fathom how anyone can resist binge watching several episodes at a time! The first 3 seasons I watched on FOX, so you had no choice but to wait a week for the next episode, but when it shifted to NetFlix and they'd dump a half season or a whole one at once, I'd binge on the whole 8 or 16 episodes over a couple days. Keep going, it gets even better as the show and the characters evolve!

You really are spoiling us with your frequent Lucifer reactions-and I am here for it! Another fun reaction and I enjoyed watching again with you this time when Maze appeared to save Lucifer...such a great sequence. She really is a badass and I love her! It's fun to remember how Luci worked his way into working for the LAPD in the beginning. Now, he is Chloe's partner in crimes as it were and their relationship begins to develop but in ways that may surprise and not be as simple as you might expect. There is much more story to come for all the characters. How sneaky is Amenadiel? He is pretending to be a Dr Canaan (ha ha ha how biblical!) just to try and find a way to get to Lucifer, into his pysche and force him back to hell. Believe me this particular plot line has real legs! (No spoilers!) The next two episodes 6 and 7 work as two-parts of the same storyline and are brilliant. It was these two episodes coming that after being really drawn in deeper after episode 4, I became totally hooked. You'll see why when you watch them. This Show just takes you to places and makes you think and like many of your followers have said, can be really difficult not to binge watch to find out what happens next! You show great restraint if you can stop yourself from binging it! Many of us failed and gave in! 'See' you next time...keep up the excellent work!
