I totally agree with you that the show feels different after the mid-season break. I think they were just really starting to find their feet and find the directions they want all the characters to go in with their humor. Pierce is an interesting character because he's hilarious but you know that what he's saying is SO wrong lol. But Pierce is made to be laughed at. Chevy Chase on the other hand is a truly horrible human being and the cast hate him, but that's proof of the difference between bigotry written for comedy and bigotry in real life. I find that interesting. And I loved the scenes between Troy and Britta in this episode. Their dancing wasn't as bad as it could've been. 😂💕
