So while working on the Cassiopeia pinup last night, I had a spectacular blue screen of death pop up as I was about to export the file. This happening with Clip Studio Paint open tends to corrupt the file and make the story file unusable. So beyond losing what would've been a week of work, it would have forced me to manually recreate the csp Story File page by page. I probably wouldn't have bothered but the story files are great for organizing things.
The Blue Screen of Death DID infact damage the file and pretty much did everything I worried it would.
HOWEVER.
I was saved by having Dropbox pro. These days, I keep my work files in the same folder I use Dropbox. (please don't hack it, guys. I'm trustin you. You know who you are.) In short, every time I save, the computer will upload a copy of the file to dropbox. One of the only hassles is, it will also upload a corrupted Clip Studio Paint file too which will corrupt your cloud file. Thankfully dropbox has a pretty painless system for restoring older versions of a file. I don't know how long it keeps revisions but having just one from a few hours before the crash really saved my ass.
