Thank you everyone for supporting the fun beach pinup book. With any luck, there'll be more small mini zine sized digital releases in the future, with all kinds of different subjects. Maybe ones focused on specific characters could be fun to see. Characters like Jackie here.

I got a lot of kind notes about Jackie and how readers liked learning about her backstory. If you didn't catch it before, the character blurb in the zine tells you she's trans and had something of a rough time of it with her family. You can be forgiven for missing that detail about her past, I admit it's probably because I haven't brought it up a lot before. I've told a few people while I was making the character that she's trans but I tended to hold back just casually mentioning it in other posts. Those never, at least to me, seemed like the place to mention it. It's probably just how I am myself, but I don't like the idea of putting that label on her every time I'm just out there posting some drawings. I don't think she'd like that, either.

The name Jackie is kinda a last minute thing though. I knew I'd have to give her a name when I was writing these blurbs. I wasn't just gonna call her "Chef Girl" while everyone else has their own name. But Jackie was an option that was in the back of my mind for a long time. She seems like a Jackie to me, so that's what we'll go with for now.
