Painterly Scribbles (Patreon)

I don't quite show it all that often but I love the act of blending "paints." It's something that I think yields by its nature, an interesting looking result. It's part joy at discovering that this color mixed with that color using that brush results in something you completely didn't expect. And with some basic understanding of values and rendering, you can turn those experiments into proper forms.

I've attempted many times to create a brush that suits my painterly sensibility and I think I'm pretty close. I wish though it had a bit more tooth and some texture to it. But the primary thing I wish it did was morph into a sharper brush when I apply lots of pressure, and to blend more seamlessly when I apply very delicate strokes.
