So I actually managed to forget my computer problems from earlier in the week, for better or for worse. The fan that's kinda blown out or non functioning wasn't an absolutely integral part of the PC. If it was the CPU fan or a GPU fan or god forbid the PSU fan it would be a totally different story. The problem with this particular chasis fan is that it appears to be welded to this case so replacing it is out. It's also possible that the problem lies in the motherboard controller, but I could adjust that with software.

It'll be worth exploring my options this weekend. Testing it shouldn't be too risky, I've been running with it completely off for the entire week and it's been fine. I've just had to leave the side of my case open the whole time...


I hope it isn't hitting temperatures I really don't wanna see...

There's always the ghetto solution of putting a box fan pulling air out next to it. Not an ideal long-term solution, of course, but it is a fix if you've got one.
