Those abs are kinda nice.

I talk about my anxieties on here sometimes. And I mentioned it earlier to friend Gunwild. But I'm sometimes super anxious of opening my patreon page sometimes. Imagine if like everyday at your job, you'll find out whether or not you got a raise or a pay cut on your way into the office. It can get a bit spooky! Even if it's just in the amounts of dollars and cents!

I don't mean to put you guys in a spot. I'm grateful for the patronage you've already given me. But I felt like I had to be open about my anxieties.

If it helps, don't think of it as getting frequent micro-raises and micro-pay-cuts. Think of the displayed amount as a statistical estimate of the amount you'll actually receive at the end of the month, which is a fixed constant that you simply don't know with certainty until the end of the month. In other words, it's not your "salary" that's changing throughout the month, but your knowledge of it. (In fact, the number has always been an estimate, because of rejected payments and such, and Patreon has recently made that more explicit by factoring in the expected amount of rejected payments based on the previous month.)
