Okay she's pretty cute. I think she's just got a "go-get 'em" attitude which I really appreciate in my trouble prone protagonists.

I felt like getting a little more detailed about how her gear works. I don't think I need to be THAT realistic but if I know anything about kink people, it's that they appreciate detailed gear.

By the by, May seems to be a popular suggestion for her name. Or another name like June. Because, like April, it'd be fun to name her after a month. I'm not really against that idea for a name and unless something better comes along it just might stick!

If you name her May, she can be May Day!

NeFoxfire

I agree, May Day is a great nickname! Really hope that's the name you pick! She is really cute, can't wait to see what kind of trouble she gets herself into! :D

Alex White

Clearly the best month to name her after is February, it rolls off the tongue much better.

May Day!

Autumn and September are always a good choice in my book too

If you stick with "May," I like the idea of keeping the 5 on her helmet.

Mr Lit

Sure, May is the fifth month of the year, matches her hard hat, adheres to the 5 number theme.

Even before looking at the other comments, I was thinking, “Huh. She really does seem like her name’s May!” I’m not sure about “Day” for a surname, though. It seems a touch too… not exactly contrived, but close? Many of the named minor characters in the Harry Potter series have the same initial letter for each word of their name. _Those_ names are, and feel, contrived. A name like “May Day” isn’t all the way down on that level, but it does strike me as too cutesy for this character. She herself is cute as can be, but I believe the setting would be much more interesting with some elements of… well, whatever counts for “realism” in this particular context. :¬)

It seems ot me that that helmet with chin strap would go really well with an attached gag. Maybe one day she can get entagled while wearing a gas mask....

maaaaaybe. I also don't want to do anything too dangerous with her though.
