Okay, if you guys don't follow my twitter religiously (and seriously, I wouldn't blame you) then you probably missed this post.  https://twitter.com/psuedofolio/status/1299101275548774402?s=20  And like, holy cow it went viral in a big way. I've never had a Twitter post blow up like this and it's literally been seen by millions of users. And that's not including the quote tweet from the official Fall Guys account or the repost on Reddit. And it's gotten over a hundred fifty thousand interactions.

Like... that's an incomprehensible number to me. On a BUSY day I interact with a dozen people. And this year, I meet at MOST two people in person.

There is something to talk about, with how Twitter users interacting with a viral post don't translate into a lot of follows, let alone subscribers. Twitter is made up of a lot of quick tempered instant reactions to what the world is talking about. It takes a user in a different state of mind to look deeper at the account of a viral tweet. Most people check the headlines because they want to move to the next tweet. But thankfully, the number of users who saw this drawing and wondered if I did more stuff like this, was not insignificant.

There were thousands of users that were like, "oh maybe I'd want to see if they do more robot pics or cute drawings." And thankfully, sometimes I do. Even though my twitter account can be very doomy and gloomy.

It's been a doom and gloom kind of year. I think part of what made Fall Guys appealing to me, is that it's challenging and goofy and utterly harmless. And it's so fun to draw fan art for.

I enjoy drawing people in mecha suits. I honestly don't do it enough. But the shape of the Jellybean Fall Guy pod proved too irresistible to try and fill with machine parts. There's a lithium battery beneath the seat. The top sports an air circulator and a hatch. The hands have an electromagnet to facilitate grabbing. The Fall Guy even has a "fatty" layer around the edges of the machine. I think of those boxes with the x as a sort of padded layer that contains some gears and muscles to squish and stretch the mecha.

It's goofy, and totally unrealistic. And I'm really happy the official fall guys account called it "cannon."  Even though I didn't add any guns at all to this thing...

you know that old saying about TV making an impact "a mile wide, but an inch deep"? social media is like that but more so. glad you at least got a few more fans out of it!

After a certain level, you just break through and it helps that the post that went viral for me is fairly representative of my other art work.

Brains ?

I love seeing how this post you’re referring to affected you. I saw the post on my feed and immediately recognized the style and thought “that looks like Cassiopeia Quinn. I absolutely love your style! I can’t wait to see more!
