So hey, this was a big hit on the twitter. I didn't really expect that. All I thought was... hey this is really cool. Lemme share it.

I think it's worth sharing just how much thought went into this drawing at the start. Basically, I had wanted to do something monstrous again and something to fit in with the "Magical Girl SCP" universe that I hadn't done a lot for recently. I was getting that body horror itch again. So when I started sketching her, it began with her basic pose and then some like crab leg wings coming out of her back.

And then I'm like... eh that's a little plain. Lets add some teeth. Okay... that's a bit be- why not a whole t-rex?

Alright. Now we're getting somewhere. The drawing here ended up reminding me of stage T-rex puppets where the performer hidden just below the costume. I think one of the weaknesses in this drawing is that, I'm really hiding a lot of her back. Drawing the threads and the organs and the bones that go from her to the creature is critical telling the viewer that they are bonded. That it's not just a dinosaur standing behind her.

I went a little further and, instead of making the dinosaur green, I wanted to make it like her skin was taught over the beast and it's coming out of her body.

And then I was like... yeah that's pretty cool. And posted it. I was a little surprised at how popular it was, for a body horror super power.

Have you gone too far? Or have you not gone too far enough?

i see what you mean about hiding her back. though ... there's kind of a giant t-rex in the way, not sure what angle you could pick to really show how she's physically bonded to the dinosaur.

Kinda reminds me of Dino Crisis 3! Er, or the one that took place in space, anyway.
