I think they call this "wam" which is short for "wet and messy." I'm kinda a fan but also like... man this is really messy. I'd hate to be the one cleaning things up.

I think what works about it, in an illustration at the least, is the contrast and the way the liquid or the goop or the gum can form around a person. It sorta is objectifying and also has an element of a trap to it. And then there's just the way certain goopy liquids are sensual in their own way. Well... I'm not here to analyze that. I just think the pink goop here looks kinda tasty. It's like she blew on waaaay too big a piece of gum.
