There are a couple differences here that are worth noting in terms of what they might mean for production. This sketch, and it is a bit rough in a number of important places, still tells me that I can cut down on some of the unnecessary complexity I bring to a lot of images.

Notably, I should probably drop the "red line anatomy layer" fans of my stream are so used to seeing. I could however just make a slightly tighter sketch layer, and I can alter with transform tools as needed.


The color layer sees some similar conveniences added in. I'm not too sure how well it will work in other images but it works okay here. What we've got going on is, for /co/lette here, just two layers of color. A base layer, which was like what you see on the sheep. And then a color layer that focused on emphasizing two things, where light is hitting her and what objects are closer to us.


The effect looks pretty nice I think! The anatomy fixes are important of course, but that's not what I was testing for here. "Skipping" the red anatomy layer may help work load significantly.
