I have a couple resources that I look at for anatomy. Lately I've been interested in the technical aspects of muscles and bones. The thing about bones and stuff is that, when it comes to drawing humans, it's mostly the same on everyone. And I've been faking it for so long, it's worth it to build up a real knowledge of the technical details.

A couple resources I use now, are  https://www.proko.com/ and I also have a book I really like, Morpho by Michel Lauricella. The latter is a brilliant resource but as a physical book it's a little tricky. I needed a special book stand in order to hold it open, so I can look at the reference while drawing!

Anyway, that area around the obliques is still something of an issue for me. I used to keep adding more obliques than there are! So every now and then, stopping to map where every muscle is, is a worthwhile exercise.

Focusing on the legs has some benefits, as you'll see in the next few posts.

The multi colored muscles are a good touch. Makes it easy to reference the muscle at a glance and integrate it into your work. #NeverSkipLegDrawingDay
