Save the World (Patreon)

Just a random page, I don't have anything particular in mind for what the story is here. But I'd been wanting to draw Julie being a badass. So I have the form of the badass moment but not the context of it. I think a lot of writers can get themselves in trouble by making stories this way. But I didn't really want to do anything more than to create a sample of what a Julie moment might look like. The response on twitter has been pretty positive.

I've been developing the lore, rather quietly. I'm not sure how much I should start sharing on Patreon as the story telling is starting to get more serious and more detailed. But I'm sure I'll share some of the visual progress. I have a number of pics to post for the rest of the week, so hoping you guys like those.

On that front, I like how this page looks a lot. There are a number of things I would have to fix for it to be a "publishe-able" page. But that just requires time. What I like is the overall energy and wildness about it. I wasn't working from a script, I just had some images in my head. The composition is frankly very simple and straightforward. But I enjoyed putting down every line. Everything was very alive.

I need to be able to bring that into the rest of my comic work. And I want to be able to do that while drawing pages faster and better.
