Just a sketch, not finished.

I've been enjoying this game, Bloodstained, a lot more than I expected. It's pure old school Castlevania. I actually wasn't a big fan of a lot of the older Castlevania games back when they came out but I think I'm better able to appreciate them now. Bloodstained may disguise itself as Gothic Horror but it's actually pretty charming and cute and silly.

I wasn't liking this sketch too much. I think... not because it's a bad pose itself. But it's not a particularly creative pose. I talk about this a bunch but I think I need to explore more "action-pinup" poses. I want to learn how to capture a moment in an action scene that's ALSO a beautiful pinup moment. If you do too much of the former, it kinda loses some of the pinup appeal. If you do too much of the latter, it slows things down and no longer works as an action piece.
