It might be surprising to people, how often I can sit at a drawing and just FORGET how I successfully did a drawing last time. I never quite commit any one technique to muscle memory. The closest I came to it was with doing Cassiopeia Pages after a point it gained a degree of consistency. But while I've been under the weather, I feel like I've completely forgotten how to do it. Sometimes however, this leads to unexpected improvements. Much like evolutionary mutation, each iteration introduces a new element and the ones I like best tend to thrive even if I feel like I forgot everything. In this instance however I forgot that Julie's a tiny skinny kid and not some long legged athlete so the whole drawing turned terrible when I started making it julie. Ah well.
