Just a page of sketches. Julie's in here! Expect to see more of her in the near future. Because of upcomig (thing I probably shouldn't talk about yet but no one's ever officially said I shouldn't!)

I need to work on my side profiles, I've been liking these stylized faces with the infamous "side mouth" that people used to always complain about. But making sure that Julie reads as Julie and not say... Cassiopeia when you see her in black and white, is going to be important in the long run. Julie has a few notes I shared before that should separate her from my other heroines, but I can still get in trouble with same face and even same body type when I'm drawing quickly.

I've also been asked to make Julie a little older, so she can fight cosmic monstrosities and no one's really scared about a kid fighting cosmic monsters. But with shows like Gravity Falls out there, it's hard to imagine that there are hard limits on what kinds of dark and dangerous scenes that a young kid can get into.
