Unfinished sketch I thought I'd share.

Did you guys know that MangaStudio/ClipStudioPaint has a feature to import and move around 3d models? I assume it was originally designed as a way to add background elements and stuff or even to make rudimentary poser comics.

What I figured I could do with it, and it's something I've done before, is use it to have a good base line for complicated objects like bikes, guns, or vehicles. This unfortunately sounds (and frankly is) a lot like tracing. But just a raw tracing of a 3d model would likely result in a bad looking image anyway.

And then there's also the fact that you're never going to find an exact model of what you want to draw, unless you make it yourself. I have considered hiring people to create 3d models of my spaceships in Cassiopeia Quinn. But then... that might cost money. And there's no garuntee I'd be able to properly fit it into my workflow.

At most, I'd take the basic model, spin it around to the camera angle I want, and then exaggerate from there. This helps me lay out exactly where the bike wheels should be in relation to each other. But things like the seats or even the overall frame could be completely redesigned.

ps. you may note that this is going up at 5am. Let's try that out. See if everything is still fine.

pss. Hey, that Discord Chat link again is https://discord.gg/QaemMZz check the last post if you wanna know what's up with that.

You can defintiely see it in those pages. I think it's an okay process but it's like CG in a Live Action Movie. You want them to seamlessly blend if you're going to use them.
