I actually like the motion here in this older sketch, and the quick smooth thick paint brush. It's bad at giving me sharp lines but it's great at laying out a lot of area really fast. What it isn't helping me with is knowing how to draw knees. Knees are something I really should spend a month practicing right alongside hands.
Speaking of a month, by the time this picture goes up, it'll be close to the end of the month. That means Patreon renewals! I wanted to thank you for sticking around, but also I want to make sure you guys know that another billing cycle is coming around. Finance accordingly!
SDCC Thoughts, I bought a lot of toys. Okay not a lot, but one pretty expensive one I thought was really cool. It wasn't over a hundred dollars or anything but it's still more than I normally would've considered as a casual purchase just a few years ago. Having support from comic work and the patreons has been a god send. Thank you ever so much. That I could go on a trip and have a few evenings when I'm not looking THAT closely at my budget, has been a much needed mental health break.
I mean, I'm not buying hundred dollar dinners or stuff like that. I saw some of those hotel bars! It looked nuts! But I could get a good 20 dollar meal and leave a nice tip without feeling like I'm hurting myself.
