Isabelle and Nathan are from two very different worlds. But I wonder how to make it so that they don't look like they're from two very different comics. I'm wondering how far I need to push their designs in one direction or the other so they don't look weird standing next to each other. Or maybe I'm the only one who's thinking that...

Some more painting experiments. I'm really enamoured with what a big bright light source does with my art right now. Making sure the edges of the light also glow, as though they're hitting the eye or the camera too hard, makes something feel a little more alive and have more depth. I dunno. I hope the effect comes across here.

Anyway, thanks for hangin with us patrons. I hope you like the month of May.

Mythos

Maybe it's just this image, but I feel like the muted colors on Nathan are contrasting with how more colorful/saturated Isabelle is. That's what's sticking out to me. That and the rougher lines on Nathan. I don't know anything about art. I may be completely wrong.

Nah you’re on point. Isabelle’s skin tone here is more saturated and likely will be in general as she has a warmer coloring than Nathan does. Making sure they look correct in the same light would be a challenge.
