Oh, just a sketch of a really nice character from Delicious in Dungeon. I've talked about the show before but not much in depth on here. I like it cause it's funny and creative. But what gives it a lot of staying power is injecting a lot of depth into what are, in some ways, simple archetypical characters.

Like Laios Touden is a human fighter, the most average of all main characters in fantasy stories. But, we quickly come to know his quirks. He's obsessed with monsters. Their biology, their ecology, their taste. This is pretty funny. But we also get to know his problems, and he's not good with people. He can't read social cues, he's bad with faces, he has his hyper fixations get the better of him To the point where some people reasonably see him as autistic coded. But this doesn't get in the way of him being successful in what he tries to do.

It's really endearing. The entire series is filled with characters who are oceans deep and wonderfully thought out in how they interact with each other.

Your description made me think of Fred from Scooby Doo and now I can’t shake it from my mind.

Indeed a very good character. Simple in appearance yet deep and endearing.
