This was purely a little experiment. I wanted to test Clip Studio Paint's new 3d model posing functions. Long story short, they're great! I can select from hundreds of poses from pose maniacs to set up the 3d model positioning. Then, I can adjust things like perspective and angle until I get the pose I want. Though... sometimes, I don't know the pose that I want. And seeing a lot of poses doesn't always help.

So that's how we got Yas here playing soccer, even though I'm not a very big soccer fan, and I don't even know if this is good soccer form!

Kickin' it with Yas! Yeah, I LOVE working with 3d models to figure out poses and even composition. It's also super useful when I have characters of noticeably different sizes and I want to keep those heights consistent. Before I started using 3d models, I was using figures from Marvel Legends etc to pose numerous characters within a frame. I'm planning on doing a youtube channel where I redo old works of mine, so probably some of those action figure-based reference photos I took, will make an appearance there.
