Whatever it was came this way it left few tracks, and the few tracks it left suggests a thing of great size and weight. Grassblades meant nothing to it: it trampled such towers as though it barely noticed them. In the sand it made craters. Even our own Antstein is dumb in the face of such enormities - though he has measured the distance between each crater and declared them to be more or less equidistant. Whatever it was passed this way, he added, it may do so again. And we in our millions will be as nothing to it.
