Raven Dark

I don't watch most of Angel, and especially not past season one, but I really like this episode, so I stopped by for it. Great reaction as usual, Thor. As far as how Angel figured out that she couldn't see him if he doesn't move, it's a little hard to explain, so I hope I can say it so it makes sense. When she threw him against the wall and he fell to the floor, he saw her looking around and poking at the air with her cane like we saw. Coupled with the way her head was swiveling, poking at the air like that suggests she can't see and is poking to see if she hits something. Angel was able to figure out she suddenly couldn't see, so he lay there for a few seconds to see what she would do. That's when you said, "What happened?" He was trying to figure out why she couldn't see all of a sudden. When he suddenly got up and stood perfectly still, it shows us that he put it together that she probably can't see people if they stay still. I've only seen one episode of the show Daredevil, and I don't remember much of it, but in the movie, that's sort of how his vision works, Except with Daredevil, it's if objects make a sound, they create an image sort of like what the woman in this episode sees, Which is why he will make noise against something with his cane, because it lets him see what's there. It's kind of like echo-location, I think. She has that, but with movement. I imagine this episode is heavily inspired by Daredevil, or at least the movie anyway. Again, great reaction, and looking forward to the season finale, as well as the start of Buffy season 5.

Mary Kate

I absolutely love the character of Lindsey. I always, always wonder what would have happened with him if Angel had shown him a modicum of empathy at this stage instead of mocking him so much. Not that it excuses his behavior, but it's interesting how much empathy he had for Faith, who's a murderer, and how much he lacks for Lindsey, who only defends them.
