Simlar to Shrek 2, I think I might actually like this one better than the first (and that's saying something!)  I like how this one explored some more serious and tragic storylines, and Gary Oldman was an amazing addition!  Also, did I mention that Jack Black is amazing??

I d say this one is my favourite. Although the first one for me is more nostalgic and can't be replaced. I definitely think shen as a villain is more fleshed out than tai lung. That doesn't mean I don't like him as a villain. Love him to bits! He's unique and his reasons for his grief is valid. I like how they embodied the very confident, glorious, empowering and emposing qualities in tai lung. He works seemlessly as a villain. I could see him being more of a vigilante if he got his own series, working with Po:). I also love that Po's and shifu's relationship was explored more in the first movie. I loved the growth and how teasing they became to be towards each other (also respectful) and tbh I wished to see shifu more in the second one. Tho I can see why he didn't appear bcs this one was about Po s continued and more traumatic self discovery and how he works with the furious 5! Shen on the other hand, I see him as someone I relate to and maybe that's why I like him more. Actually what really nails it for me is the voice acting. I love Gary Oldman and he did such a fantastic job with Shen. (I love all the voice actors actually. They really know how to make scenes powerful and emotional.) Love the way his tone changes, how he speaks words sometimes and all the other little details. I found him to be a tragic overgrown man of sorts. He never really growed up, as it can be seen in how he reacts to when not getting his way and his realtionships are never Smth more than miscommunication and pain(mainly with the toothsayer). He just gave up in his depression of his family abandoning him instead of guiding him and being there for him..im glad the toothsayer tried to help him. I always thought she only wanted to help him get back to his emotionally regulated self. Well, that's it for my rant. Loved the reaction and how you explain what and why you liked smth! I'm gonna watch your third movie reaction soon! Thanks for the content 😊
