**TEARS WERE SHED**  Nolan brings home the final chapter of the Dark Knight trilogy with an epic and thoroughly satisfying ending.  Possibly my favorite soundtrack of the series, and Tom Hardy as Bane makes many other onscreen villains seem inadequate.  Also, Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon-Levitt bring strong performances not to be overlooked.  

Anyways, I was so glad that Domi enjoyed these movies, and they're still some of my favorite action films EVER.

If I went into this movie blind I'd be surprised to know that Christopher Nolan directed this. It feels so generic compared to the other two instalments which were far more gripping and cinematic. I've given it 1 hour but I think I'll just surrender to the fact that this movie is not for me haha. I feel so disconnected from the villain and all the characters. Also, I’ve not been a fan of Anne Hathaway since "The Princess Diaries" and she didn't change my mind in this one haha. Her acting and her fight scenes feel so "affected" to me, like she’s trying to come across slick. I also wish that they went with a more fluid fighting style for Catwoman….maybe something like Mystique from the X-Men movies? The difficulty with big blockbusters like this is that they tend to only use famous actors, but if I could recast this film, I would totally choose Mia Kirshner for Catwoman. She’s incredibly talented but so underrated: https://youtu.be/fWTX501_eqc The only highlight for me is Joseph Gordon Levitt. I love his presence and acting in this film. That scene where he talks about his personal loss and childhood was so captivating. On a side note, I did find it funny that Domi recognised him, not from “10 things I hate about you” or “Inception” but from “3rd Rock from the sun.” He was still a baby in that show hahaha. Anyway, Batman has never been my favourite so I’ll just patiently wait for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” :)
