Yes, the Joker is amazing.  Yes, the soundtrack is one of Hans Zimmer's best.  And if you're looking for mature themes, exciting and impressive actions sequences, and a sequel that challenges the protagonist in a profound way, both physically and psychologically, look no further than this amazing film.

Nice! Enjoyed this one, and this happened to also be my first-ever watch through. Thanks guys! IMO, people needed to believe that an "average" person could defy the darkness and die a good person. Batman was always outside the law, his step into "against the law" is a much shorter fall than the shining hero Harvey Dent becoming a psychopathic killer. It' entirely correct to say that Harvey's reputation was the one that needed to be protected. People are too dependent on others to make hard decisions and protect them; they need an example of someone who wasn't a "superhero" who could stand for something and just ... be decent. People needed an example of someone THEY could BE, and despite how this episode started, most people can't hope to BE Batman. Lastly, Batman is a violent vigilante. Dent was someone who stood his ground ethically and with optimism for the future. If the people lose the symbol of hope Dent has become, they'd have no reason to ever believe that their city could be a decent place, that there was any potential to wrest it back from the corruption it has fallen into And your co-host WAS wrong about being suspicious of Harvey -- he was good. Shame on you Thor for saying he really was bad. 😉 His mind was destroyed; he couldn't be held responsible for his actions after.

Just followed your discussion at the end and I think you and Domi should watch DARK together! (And/or 10 Things I hate about you 😉). Are you guys going to watch Joker (2019)?
