Once again, I didn't see it coming, although I think I should have... but I really do love how Oz is becoming a more integral piece in the dynamic of the show, I really hope that continues

Oh man. You pretty much brought up the argument that a lot of us go through; are vampires demons in human bodies or is the demon born from the worst traits already in us? There's discussions on this that span... many months, if not years... analyzing this to death. That's where a lot of Buffy fans seem to have an issue with separating Angel/Angelus, for example. It's like... is the personality of the original still there when the demon sets up shop (as Buffy puts it in Lie to Me) or is the demon just the worst facets of ourselves with the added bonus of not having a conscience? Depending who you ask, this theory changes A LOT, especially since - as much as I love this show - you'll find Buffyverse lore isn't exactly the most consistent. Unless you're willing to try and look outside the box or between the lines, there tends to be a fair bit of contradiction in different aspects of the show.

I completely understand that Oz is too afraid of Buffy's tough talk to confess to being the werewolf. Not his greatest moment, but understandable. That said, it's probably unnecessary for him to literally *run* out of the Library as he does. I mean,, unless Buffy just had a light-bulb moment, you could probably play it cooler. (And that can't make Willow feel so great, either.) I'm always so focused on Willow's awkward look when she sees Xander tap Buffy on the arm (and is reminded of what *that* might mean) that I never noticed Buffy giving Xander the LOOK OF DEATH before. Lmao! And thanks for pointing that out. So last week you called Jenny "Miss Summers" twice, and here you called Willow "Buffy" in the teaser. I take it somebody spoiled you about the "Multiplicity" episode where SMG plays all the parts, huh? Darn. (I thought Sarah was really good as Giles. And not because she looked so cute in the tweed and glasses.)

I realize it's a VERY slim chance you don't know that last bit was only a joke, but just in case I did get you…that was a joke. Honest. Sorry.

Hi Thor! I am absolutely LOVING reliving my all-time favourite TV show by watching you discover it for the first time, this is so much fun! You're also the first even Patreon I've subscribed to so YAY :). To answer one of your questions at the end (though I’m fairly certain you’ve already figured this out because I’m way behind on your reactions), once a vampire is born, this means that the human died and their soul has left the body, and a demon has been created in the body instead. They still have their human memories, but essentially the essence that made them that human has left. In Angel’s case, what the gypsy curse did was force his soul back into the demon body. So once again, he has his humanity back, but his body is still that of a demon/vampire. Hence the vampire instincts and urges still exist. He just has the conscience to fight them. A regular Vampire has no soul, no humanity, nothing there. The human is long dead and gone. I hope that clarifies things (though like I said, you probably already know this by now; I just felt like talking about this hehe). Super excited to go through this whole show with you!!! Thank you for your reactions.

omg I have watched Buffy so many times, and I never linked Ox seeing the moving eyes in the trophy to the witch episode...
