Well, here we are, a day early everyone :) This episode was KILLER, one of my favorites of the whole season so far. I'm such a big fan of Kendra (really hoping she returns soon), and I love contrasting styles and eventual friendship between her and Buffy. Xander and Cordelia... yeah that's not gonna last haha but I did NOT see it coming. And Drusilla... I can't wait to see her unleashed, hopefully in the next episode!

Got a real shock when I saw this notification 😱 This is so exciting! I cannot wait to hear your thoughts on Kendra and Xander & Cordy (I personally love their dynamic haha). Thank you Thor! :)

Great reaction as always. I hope you are feeling better again :) I do want to point something out, that may help your channel, and the people following it. I have noticed that you do not use tags for videos as of now. They are really useful though, because they allow you to categorise your videos, and people can find it easier. :) Maybe you should consider using them :)

This was a nice surprise. A day early 😃 thank you Thor. I have been waiting for your freak out about Xander & Cordelia 😂 What’s My Line Parts 1 & 2 are some of my favourite episodes of Season 2. You can feel the stakes being raised. Things coming together. It’s so awesome. Can’t wait for more reactions

Buffy's instincts was wrong about about trying to save Angel. It was a trap only able to get out of because Kendra did go back to Giles and get some help. As for using emotions to fight; I think rage and survival mode does help. I could be wrong but I think Krav Maga utilizes more of the emotional energy as compared to some asian martial arts that tend to focus more on zen mode.

Didn't see Xander and Cordelia coming? Maybe refer back to the 1x8 reaction around 13:47, haha. I agree about Kendra, love her. Watching her and Buffy slowly come to trust each other is great. Thanks so much for the early upload.

I would guess that some emotions can help in a fight situation. Anger, for examples provides the body with a burst of energy, increased endurance and strength levels. Our amygdala gets us ready to react before the cortex (thought and judgment/regulating emotion) gets the message, though. Sufficient rage also narrows your attention. I assume if you only have to fight one opponent it could help to "go berserk", esp. as you probably also don't feel pain in an aroused state/thanks to adrenaline. It would seem that going into such an aroused state would hinder more than help though in a more complex combat situation. There's a reason why we say "blind rage/anger". It is probably more helpful to be able to channel your emotions, anger in particular. (anyone with better knowledge of neuroscience/biology/psychology correct me, please). Doubtlessly, there's also a difference between one-on-one hand-to-hand combat vs combat with firearms. I'd probably trust the Navy Seals' input lol.

I hope you're feeling better! You sound only a little hoarse, so I trust you're on the mend. Seconding the recommendation of tags. They really do make it much easier to find things. I love that last shot of Drusilla carrying Spike out of the burned-out church. It's just so OTT in its Anne Rice Gothitude that it makes my inner adolescent squeal with glee.

Great reaction :). I like that they don’t retcon the two-slayer thing, but that there’s an in-universe explanation for a second slayer being called. I don’t know if you’ve seen her in anything else, but Bianca Lawson, who plays Kendra, basically never ages. She played a teenager for over 20 years! Her first ever role was in Saved By the Bell: The New Class in 1993 when she was about 14, and she was still playing a teenager in Pretty Little Liars in 2012 at age 33 (pretty much at the same time that she was playing a teacher in Teen Wolf). She’s also Beyonce’s step-sister… her dad is married to Beyonce’s mum. Since you mentioned Navy SEALs, you might be interested in checking out the show SEAL Team (started on CBS, now on Paramount Plus). David Boreanaz (Angel) plays the main character and it has been praised for its realistic portrayal of military life (as a civilian contractor who deploys overseas with the UK military, I can attest to that).

Great reaction; it’s a favorite episode of mine as well. I also love the animal cracker conversation-so sweet.
