So... never really played retro games (or video games much in general) but still had a lot of fun with this one.  Sign me up for more Fix-It Felix and Sergeant Calhoun!

I'm so glad this won the poll. I forgot how funny this film was and SO creative too (Laffy Taffy, Oreos etc). I loved arcades when I was younger but I don't remember the games, so I was far more nostalgic about the candy references such as the Jawbreakers. For characters, I really love Felix (I'm glad they didn't make him evil) and the twist with Turbo was great as well. As for Ralph, I get what you're saying that in the grand scheme of things he was being kinda selfish abandoning his game but at the same time I don't think his desire to find happiness for himself is a bad thing either. They are all programmed to be a certain way in the game but can you imagine living a life like that? Of course you'd get desperate and depressed. I actually think that theme is very similar to Buffy and the struggle living a predestined life. I personally think he did the right thing. He learned in the end it's not the medal he was after but what the medal represents and I don't think you can fully appreciate and learn that without going on a journey. Maybe it's not fair to let the team down but is it ok to neglect yourself and your needs? I think that's a very real question and it's probably why I love this film so much. A lot of other 3D films are fun or focus on the jokes, but this film had a lot of heart with a good message so it definitely has a special place in my heart :)
