A sequel that far outshines the original (in my opinion).  Lots of laughs, lots of song, and a surprising amount of heart.  Had a blast watching, hope you enjoy the reaction!

This is definitely a great example on how to do a sequel. I do think the first just has a special place in my heart, but the second is forever and always a great time too and something about it is even more infectious.

I really enjoy watching this in real-time, never expected it to be soooo different. War and peace is a masterpiece by the way. I love Donna's friends too!!! I want cakeeeee hahahaha nice movie, thanks for the reaction.

That's crazy you've seen the War and Peace miniseries! Such a big fan, I think it's criminally underappreciated and very few people I know have gotten around to watching. And Tanya and Rosie... talk about an amazing duo! Could watch an entire movie with just the two of them for sure. Glad you enjoyed this one, and great to see you here :)

Infectious is a great word to describe it. For me the first one was fun, but didn't deliver as much emotion and resonance with the characters as much as sequel, and I also felt like the writing and jokes were superior in Here We Go Again. But I can see how it would be one of those movies that people have a special love for, and I'm glad you liked both :)

Thanks! That is the first time I find the courage to watch Mamma Mia 2. I hated the first at the movie theater and only learned to appreciate it later after friends and roommates that loved it. I really felt like I'd never watch the 2nd until someone made me! hahaha! Good job at forcing me!

Just finished and I laughed so hard on this one. I definitely prefer Mama Mia 2 even though the first one was super fun as well. I was so impressed with Lily James in this...she captured the energy of 'Donna' so well and the parallel story telling with Sophie just made the story so much more heartfelt. The flashbacks overall were my favourite. Great reaction as well. I had a blast with this one! :)

One thing you should do is watch the scene "under attack", from the stage musical. I assume they thought it would be difficult to get it right in a movie version, but it's a shame it's gone. It is basically Sophie having a nightmare the night before her wedding, wobdering what the hell she's done, and it is a nice touch for an otherwise kind of naive girl.
