As I have wrote to other reaction, I have been in Fumiya's place. One of my closest friend lost 10 years of his memory. He lost the memory he got from the moment he moves to my city, so I was included in the lost part. Throught social media (Facebook) we reconnect and I help him to remember things the way Fumiya does: going to shared places, eating favorite dishes... The point is we try to bring back a specific past, the one we shared but since those memories were existing only in my side, I felt I was simply greedy because I wanted my friend back. On the other part, my friend wanted back that part of him that was now missing but couldn't really help to think that those souvenirs could also never been his. I could effectively imprinted what I wanted in his brain. At the end, he moves back to his father's village far from all the memories he didn't recovers. The accident that made him lost that part of his life was a form of death. I remember the feeling to see someone I knew for 10 years, happy and sad moments, simply being alive but dead in memory. I was erased and I could tell you how hard it was. It happens like 12 years ago but still it is in my mind. That being said, a lot of comments judge Fumiya as being somewhat manipulative but I fully understand him since I was in his shoes. In this story, the relation is more complicated since they were boyfriends and they were just separated. Ritsu seems the one being at fault of the break-up but Fumiya still have feeling clearly.
