Thank you! Heads up, "Foča" is pronounced "Focha". (The town in East Bosnia where fighting in Fall Schwartz is taking place). The pronounciation you're using "Fotsa" would be correct without the caret on the "c" - but there is one, "č". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fo%C4%8Da

WELL SAID, Sparty. Especially your very ominous warning at the end. It's beyond belief that for instance there are still people in the so-called 'free world' who find excuses for Vladimir Putin. Either we duck out of unpleasant reality and retreat to a fantasy feel-good bubble, or we face it. As you say, never forget. I would be tempted to add, 'and especially just now'.

In the past, I had already seen many of the photos of Warsaw ghetto fighters shared in this episode. However, this is the first time I have seen them with names and fates. Jarring.

Thank you. I struggled with the hook and conclusion on this episode at first - my first attempts came across as “thoughts and prayers.” So I walked away - While we were out with the dogs in told Astrid about Harris and Goebbels reactions to the dam-buster raid, and we came to talk of “the new normal” and becoming numb… and there it was.

One of the major problems that the Jews faced in resisting, was a lack of ‘gun culture’. For centuries Jews were prohibited to own guns in most of Europe. (After 1795 see American 2nd Admendment to the US Constitution, although sadly said basic Human Right was not available for those held in bondage. But Jews were free to enjoy it) Anyway Jews did not culturally have knowledge of firearms for various reasons. I am sure there were exceptions. (Read Exodus and it’s prequel ‘Mila 18’, both fiction but based on first hand accounts)

I am sorry, but that is a false premise and I will give benefit of the doubt that it wasn't intentional. Jewish people were outcasts in many places were people welcomed the Nazis and fascists. You can be the best shot and you can have 30 guns there would still be no need for outlawing your guns. This is because your neighbor, your boss, people on the street hate who you are. Being Jewish meant people assumed you killed Jesus the coolest guy in the world. They assumed you kill babies to bake their blood into bread. What good will guns do when the soldier and cop are all willing to sell you out?
