This week at TimeGhost has been huge. We finished filming our longest weekly World War Two script to date, enacted some major studio upgrades, and produced all new trailers for our channels. As if to taunt us, or perhaps just give us a true challenge, our Dropbox stopped syncing throughout last week and threw us way off balance, so please forgive us for a slightly amended publishing schedule this week. We'd also like to give a huge welcome to our new TimeGhost Army recruits who signed up after the new trailers premiered yesterday!

All of these exciting changes are only possible because of all of you. Without the TimeGhost Army, there would be no channel. Your continued support allows us to create groundbreaking educational documentaries which reach a wide audience of people, many of whom are young and increasingly unaware of World War Two and its atrocities. Now more than ever, it is important humanity learn the lessons of the past so that our mistakes do not be repeated. We work hard to create an independent and ambitious documentary series that achieves just that.

As we enter 1943 and 2022, this war and our project becomes ever more titanic.

To be able to reach more people, and do this history justice, please increase your pledge to a tier higher than where you are now. If everyone reading this did so, we would have the capacity to double our full time staff.

Thank you for all you do. And now, Operation Torch.

168 - Axis and Allies Both Invade France - WW2 - November 13, 1942

Operation Torch goes off this week, the Allied invasion of French Northwest Africa, but this prompts the Germans to invade European France. This is the Allies first combined major offensive in the Western Hemisphere. The Germans launch another offensive of their own this week, though- Operation Hubertus in Stalingrad. And in the South Pacific, a major naval battle begins off Guadalcanal. So much going on and so much bloodshed. I've heard about the five Sullivan brothers, but hadn't known the details. Operation Uranus is about to give the Russians a big victory, but so many will not live to rejoice. Great episode.

I love these major operations that set the stage for future major operations that set the stage for future major operations. Really just one step at a time.

There is so much packed in this lengthy 22-minute episode, I barely noticed that 22 minutes have passed when the episode is over. Allies took the entire French Northwest Africa in Operation Torch, Vichy France occupied, fierce battles in Stalingrad and the Caucusus, the Allies moping up the Kokoda trail, and the audacious naval dash off Guadacanal...... One could only imagine how much more cramped the episodes will get when Operation Uran begins next week, followed by Operation Mars the week after...and we are loving every second of it. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the flurry of videos this week including Chieftain. I really appreciate the part were the connections to the fronts are described. Eg the effects of moving planes from Norway 🇳🇴 and Russia 🇷🇺 to Tunisia 🇹🇳. Most narratives ignore those effects and “stay local”. 👍

“ Thank you for all you do. And now, Operation Torch” By the way, is it a British or American Torch? Allusion to the Swiss Torch lady 😇🤪and African swallows 😃

Fabulous that you've smashed the £30k a month in donations figure, love to see more funding as we all benefit!

It's really amazing to see the turning tide as it happens. Churchill spoke of this in his memoirs, but seeing it with the maps really illustrates all that's happening.

Is footage beginning at 13:29 real or from a movie?

Personally I could skip the backing music. Indy's delivery is dramatic enough.

A salute to you guys, great work as always. Love you TG Team!!!

Upped my pledge because I want to see you guys go all the way. If 2022 improves further for me financially, I'll try to go up another tier.

It's really an exciting time. We want you all to know that this entire project is a collective effort of the entire TimeGhost Army, from research, to funding, to spreading the episodes.
