In this second to last episode of Between Two Wars, we dive into the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact signed in 1939. With this pact, the fate of eastern-Europe is sealed. Or at least, if Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union get their way. For those of you who have watched our earlier World War Two episodes, the direct consequences of this pact are clear. Now, next week we will answer the one question that is left to ask now. Is the world ready for war?

Little update on Indy's Covid-19 isolation: he has been stuck in the place where our studio is  in Bavaria for well over two weeks now. We have used the time to research, write and film a lot more episodes for TimeGhost and World War Two - so we won't be running out of material anytime soon. Tomorrow, if everything goes according to plan, Indy will hire a car and drive to the ferry which will take him back to his home in Sweden. Once again, we all hope that you remain safe and healthy. Don't do anything that Indy wouldn't do (I'd say this is some solid life-advice regardless of the Corona Virus).

Take Care!
Cheers,
Joram

A Soviet Nazi Alliance - the Molotov Ribbentrop Pact | BETWEEN 2 WARS I 1939 Part 2 of 3

In 1939, two bitter rivals sign a non-aggression pact. But the treaty is something more than just a simple pledge of neutrality. Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union have also secretly agreed on how they will carve up Eastern Europe between them. So will you guys cover the Battle of Khalkhin Gol/Nomonhan in this episode or the next one? Thanks

Its great that you managed to get some more stuff done, but I guess you guys know that there are still flights to Stockholm from Frankfurt, and I assume also Munich?

Bravo! You have restored my faith in your objectivity. Could you also, at times help your viewers to see how an analysis of the two great wars must be different. Please point out the force of the passionate belief of millions for and against communism no longer permits you to continually evoke national interest as th exclusive motivation

Stay safe Indy and team!

TimeGhostHistory

Yes, Indy booked a few time, but the flights kept on getting cancelled... seems to be more of a commercial issue than anything else.

TimeGhostHistory

We're very happy that your faith is restored. We truly have no preference in one or the other direction. We also don't display any such preference. But often critical coverage of one side leads people to believe that we prefer the other side. Moreover there are cases where one side comes across as worse than the other, but that is not our choice... we simply report on the events. Ideologically we only have one standpoint: all ideologies that oppose Universal Human Rights are condemnable, and that would, by force, include both Communism and Naziism - which one is worse is like trying to decide how many angels can dance on a pinhead. It's better to let the events speak for themselves, and therefore we don't issue verbal condemnations in any direction.

TimeGhostHistory

We mention it in the context of the next (last episode), in the opening episode of WW2, and we get to aspects of it in a few weeks in our first bio on Zhukov. A detailed blow by blow rendition was not possible within our episode constraints.

Ok thank you for the response. And maybe in the future will you do a separate episode on it? Thanks
