Hitler, Goebbels and a team of dedicated Nazis used the 1936 Olympics to present a new Germany to the world. Grandiose, magnificent, organised and cultured. The Games led attention away from the racist and oppressive nature of the National-Socialist Ideology, and the world seemed to fall for it. It seems like Hitler was the true winner of the Berlin Olympics. Or was he?

Also, last week we held a poll about what series we should do when Between Two Wars is finished. Now that the results are in, I'm proud to present you the three series we'll make starting in April 2020. They will be about the 1946 Indonesian War of Independence, the 1956 Suez Crisis and about four decades of Troubles in Ireland.
