We're back with an interesting episode of Between Two Wars! Ever more ideologies, parties, politicians and paramilitary groups go head to head in their fight for Power over Austria. This episode is filled with many twists and turns and intrigue. This episode is a true collective effort, as the research and writing has been done by four different crew-members: Spartacus, Joram, Francis and Naman (who was volunteering over the summer). We have also added some volunteer colorizers to the team who are helping us colorize every portrait, breathing some life into the anonymity of black and white. In short, we're growing, developing and improving with every step we take. And none of that would be possible without all of you who are supporting us here! We owe you!

Cheers,

Joram

Not all Fascists Are Nazis - Civil War in Austria | BETWEEN 2 WARS I 1934 Part 2 of 4

Austria is very divided in the 1930s. Austrian Nationalism opposes the idea of a Greater German Reich, which triggers the emergence of Austrofascism. They find themselves in a violet struggle against Nazis, Communists, Democrats and Socialists. Your in depth recounting of this history is most appreciated. I wish it was a required component of public education. Indy and the entire TimeGhost team are fantastic. Thank you all.

To think that Mussolini had a chance to be the hero who saved Europe from Hitler - yikes!
