It took a little longer than usual, but the preview for the 31st episode of the World War Two series is right here at your doorstep! While this could be considered as one of the few truly phoney war-esque episodes, there's still plenty going on. We also made use of that time to give you an overview of the Allied and German forces that are facing each other on the Western Front.

Cheers,

Joram

Allies Plan to Hit the Nazis Where it Hurts - WW2 - 031 - March 30 1940

Newly appointed French Prime Minister Paul Reynaud and his British counterpart Neville Chamberlain spend the week looking for ways to harm the Germans. Not just by targeting their direct opponent directly, but also by exploring the idea of expanding the war into much bigger territory. In the meantime, the French prepare for the expected invasion and the Allies are laying the foundations of what might one time become a weapon of mass destruction. I think you need to emphasize more that the actual Republic of China still exists. Technically, Chiang Kai Shek's primary post at this time is military, but he is the Premiere of the Republic and Lin Sen is still the ceremonial president. I worry that the emphasis on Chiang Kai Shek as the military leader with Wang Jingwei as the civilian leader of the Reformed government is making it seem like the Republic split along military/civilian lines between Chiang and Wang. What actually happened was that the (vast majority of military + most civilian officials) --> Chiang Kai Shek's government in Chongqing. (Some civilian officials) --> Wang Jingwei's government in Nanjing. Though you will probably talk about this later, it should be mentioned that Wang Jingwei didn't even get authority over the various Chinese military units that defected and collaborated.

Hi there ! I propose that you make a tiny typing correction in the subtitles. Say "Armée d'Afrique" which translates to "Army from Africa" instead of "Armada freq" at 4:02
