Christmas Comes But Once A Year | Restoration Behind The Scenes | Max Fleischer's Color Classics

Film technician, Jack Theakston, gives us an inside look into how we restored the new Fleischer Studios cartoon. 'Christmas Comes But Once a Year' is a 1936 animated short produced by Fleischer Studios and released on December 4, 1936 by Paramount Pictures. It is the 15th cartoon of the Color Classics series. The cartoon features Professor Grampy, a character from the Betty Boop series; this is the character's only appearance without Betty. Special thanks to Paramount Pictures for the camera negative scan and Deluxe Audio, Inc for the audio scan. Image restoration done by Thad Komorowski & Jack Theakston. #Grampy #FleischerStudios #ChristmasComesButOnceAYear #ColorClassics Visit https://www.patreon.com/Maxfleischercartoons to help us scan more! I wonder if "The chemist", which I remember from my childhood, is also a Fleischer Cartoon. I was lucky to find it on YouTube (even if the version I saw in my childhood was the German dubbed version). If you compare the styles of "The chemist" and "Christmas comes but once a year", they are very recognizable similar! https://youtu.be/FG4b2gHS_bs
