I remember there was once a 'seasonal' watch order for MLP. A lot of episodes got scrambled up in the airing order, but there's not a corrected version because Equestria's seasons and timelines aren't nailed down. This could just as easily be a year after the previous episode and it'd still be okay. We know the Six have a lot of adventurers off-screen that we never see. It wouldn't affect much else either, since we know that time in Equestria moves a lot differently than on EqG earth. An example for you: Twilight and Sunset look the same age, but Twilight wasn't even born when Sunset was the student of Celestia. But time moves so much slower on EqG earth that they were nearly the same age when they met.

Well, to answer the Hearth’s Warming-Nightmare Night question, I think this is to show that 8-9 months have passed since Hearth’s Warming (we don’t know exact days and months of Holidays, just what season they occur in). Horses are generally pregnant for around 11-12 months, which would also explain why Flurry’s birth only happens after a few episodes.
