First things first season 5 best season no cap. Second can we please not forget that twilight is still in her 20's even when she comes thru the portal and she knows this but continues to hit on and flirt with a miner. I still to this day think this would have been better off in a college setting instead of a high school. Given that everyone in mlp (equestria) are dang near all in their 20's.

A cool one for you Scoots, something that this movie and some of the interviews told us. The reason the others knew the lyrics to the final song is because it was sung by two Equestrians. The pony world's music is a school of magic, and the Sirens use that in reverse by taking. But if you use that magic in its original form, the lyrics are like 'given' to anyone who hears it. And then they get to help cast the spell it's related to. So songs in Equestria are giant mass hysteria spells that you start giving power to if you join. It's why Twilight had that moment of not being able to sing either, she'd lost her magic entirely. Songs sung by vanilla humans don't get that effect, so it's unique to members of the Rainbooms

You should react to lullaby for a princess and the moon rises! They are really good mlp fan animations and it kinda shows more about what happened between celestia and Luna. Lullaby for a princess being in celestias pov while the moon rises is in lunas pov.

The characters in Equestria Girls are seniors in high school and I'm pretty sure are all meant to be 18, because otherwise the interaction between worlds would be wildly inconsistent. Also, several are shown to live on their own, as 18 year olds might. The CMC which attend the school are believed to be Freshman, so around 14-15 which lines up pretty well with the level of maturity etc. that they have around season 5. Also, it is good to keep in mind that horses (ponies) don't age the same way that humans do. Our understanding of the mane six's age is shaky at best. It is never explicitly stated anyone's age in either show so it is best to assume that nothing illegal is happening as that was definitely not the intention or desire of the MLP/EQG creative team and is purely based on biased assumptions that are simply unnecessary with media like MLP. It is a show made for children first, bronies second, which is a good thing to keep in mind when making broad assumptions about things like this.

I know that it's never actually stated their exact age in the show I just go off of the season 4 rainbow dash birthday episode its shown to be 21 candles on the cake. So I've always assumed them to all be in their early 20's. Also, in terms of aging I just use human year's and think that's what we're supposed to do. Because for the show to deliberately take the time to put 21 candles on RD's gigantic cake I think it's a sign that we're supposed to be using human years to age them. Because if we're being honest bro they could've threw 1 candle on that thing and called it a day but they decided not to. But at the end of the day it's just a theory a film theory. Shout out Matt Pat.

The only problem with your candle theory is everyone is only counting the candles in the front of the cake. She flies around the whole cake to blow them out, implying there are also candles on the side we don't see. Which I always interpreted as "Pinkie Pie just slammed a bunch of candles on a huge cake because she knows how much Dash loves to fly/show off how quickly she can do things, candle blowing included." But whatever, to each their own, I don't mean to fight or anything. I just don't like when people imply adult negativity onto a beautiful children's show about the magic of friendship I guess. (because the idea that twilight would ever commit a crime like, well, you know, is just uncomfortable and I know that was not the intention or thought of the creators of mlp. besides, twilight has the equestria version of flash back home if she ever were to actually pursue him, because it's not like she goes and stays in the EQG world forever or anything. also there is the theory that the portal actually readjusts ponies ages to fit the world they are entering, which would make sense bc of some stuff that happens later with a certain character and also some stuff that happens from a certain special, but I digress, that is not a proven canon at all or anything just interesting to think about, but it'd also explain how the sirens stay the same for like a thousand years. time shenanigans xD lol). Anyways I hope your day has been good, and of course, Friendship is Magic, so it's nice to chat about MLP theories either way!
